"Clay Creations" Houses by Nancy. Nancy McCardell individually handcrafts each switchplate using fine white clay. When completely dry, the piece is fired in a kiln. The sculpture is then painted, glazed and refired. "Brass" hardware and house numbers require gold painting and a third firing. A brief description of the house or building is affixed to the back; signing and dating finally completes the piece. Since each piece is handmade, no two pieces will be exactly alike. There may be slight differences in detail and color from the picture viewed. The switchplates come with screws and standard holes. Do not overtighten or your new switchplate will break. If ordering three or more Clay Creations, we will issue you a partial credit on your credit card for shipping & handling.
