JazzyStuff.com presents Barbara Muscutt

Barbara Muscutt has been painting professionally in a variety of mediums and subjects for the past thirty years. Barbara was born in Lancashire England, but spent most of her time in London's Soho area. She learned her craft from some of the foremost artists of the time.

Approximately twenty years ago, she started a series of Gouache paintings of the rural South. These were done on location and from old photographs she discovered in The Historic New Orleans Collection, which also carries her work.

She has just released a new series of limited edition prints, which she finally feels does justice to her originals.

Barbara has worked and lived in such diverse places as Greenwich Village, Maui, and currently resides in the French Quarter of New Orleans with one small mustache parakeet, who thinks he's a person with feathers, and a rather large Grammy Award-winning husband, who thinks he's a person too. . .
